We offer you choices in the type of grasses in your new lawn from our “Master Blend”, for sunny to partially shaded lawns to our “Shade Survivor”, for the very shady lawns. We also offer two types of sports turf for the professional grounds keeper.

The Pro Sports Plus is available on a clay based loom soil or a sand based soil. The Pro Sport blend is available only on a clay based loom.

We take great care in selecting the seed varieties that your sod starts with; we buy only sod quality seed, we look for these characteristics genetic color, spring green up, wear tolerance, drought tolerance, disease resistance, leaf texture, and the ability to form a strong root mass to hold it all together.

Master blend  is an outstanding performer for the home lawn, with its dark blue-green color, and good wear tolerance and outstanding disease resistance.  This sod will withstand some shade but needs no less 4-6 hours of direct sunlight per day to maintain a thick healthy turf. (Master blend is made up of 20% of these 5 elite bluegrasses)

Abbey: This widely adaptable variety has been a good performer for over 10 years, with good genetic color.  Known as an aggressive root builder, it rates well against most diseases.

Buckingham: This variety was in the top 5 for genetic color and top 10 for spring green up.

Coventry: This variety is a strong performer in sun or shade and is the top rated variety for mowing height diversity.  It has excellent disease resistance and maintains density and good color under stress conditions throughout the growing season.

Quantum Leap: This top rated variety, has deep, green color, dwarf growth habit, good tolerance to close mowing, performs well in sun or shade, and has excellent disease resistance.

Envicta: This big seeded variety, has deep blue-green color that persists late into the season.  Its thick, dense profile with wider, stronger blades, making it ideal for high traffic areas.

Survivor is our newest blend and one we are very proud to bring you.  We have blended the very best of shade tolerant cool season grasses to produce what we feel will become the standard for shady lawns across the Mid-West.  Our Survivor blend will grow and thrive in up to 65% shade and nearly no direct sunlight.  With Survivor you can have a lush green lawn where it was impossible before. It was found growing in cattle pastures, gate openings and other high traffic areas where nothing else seemed to grow.  Today supranova is the most shade tolerant, wear resistant cool season grass on the market today.

Coventry: This is the only bluegrass in our shade blend, it was chosen to balance the blend and give it the ability to do well in sunny areas as well as in the shade.

It has dark green color, excellent turf density, and outstanding disease resistances, makes it a must for a shade blend.
